Usually the idea of snow here is REALLY exciting because it rarely happens! This weekend was a little different for two reasons. One reason, was that it was a Friday night, so there was no chance of staying home from school or work. The second, and more important reason, was that we had plans to go out of town. We'd planned to go to Kiawah Island to celebrate Mimi's birthday. Friday afternoon the snow began and it was coming down so hard that we had to cancel our plans. :-(
This was actually A's 2nd snow. Her first snow was March 1st last year. (Click on the link to see the blog post from the first snow!)

A view from our den window. This was within the first hour after it started snowing. Eventually it covered everything in sight!
A. did not want to put her feet down in the snow, so I held her. This snow was the "good" crunchy snow that is good for skiing and making snow balls. :) I picked up some and showed it to her. She tried to eat some of it, of course! She didn't care too much for it, but found the dogs hysterical. The dogs LOVED the snow and went crazy playing in it.
